4th Of July Trip

Good Morning,
We had such a great time at are friends Jim, and Coryns house... they always welcome our family with open arms, and Love. Brian has been friends with Jim forever, and they were in School together, so its so great that they have been such good friends for years..Its sometimes hard to keep in touch when you have a family, but they have managed to stay in touch over the phone and getting together a couple times a year, and the kids love the 4Th of July party so much this is are second year attending, so I'm sure we will always go back as long as they invite us.

Brian told them last year that he would paint there house, since he has his own Paint Sprayer so they took him up on his offer this year and asked if he would, and Brian said of course, That's what friends do for each other help out whatever is needed, and Jim would help Brian if he ever needed anything, because they are both Givers, nice to see.

So we got there Friday afternoon, they went right to the store got all the paint and primer, and everything they would need, and started masking, and priming the house off right away, they started in the back, because its two story in the back with a daylight basement, and had the whole back sprayed out before the night was over, and then the next day they did the rest of the house... I was surprised how fast it went.

Then Jim Is the Manager for Food Service Of America and is the cook. when we get there, so he has all that kind of food that you just open and warm up, so it goes pretty smooth. Beef briskets, mashed potato's, and green beans the first night, and Big breakfast in morning that Jim made for all of us and then Italian sausages for lunch, and Stuffed Green peppers, and chicken Noodle soup for little ones for dinner. I was just amazed at how easy it is to cook with that kind of food, you basically just open it up, and warm it up and its ready...How perfect for a big crowd of people like we had.

After the guys had finished the house everyone got to go four wheeling he has a big trail in the back of the Hill they live on, so I'm so grateful I took pictures for memories. Then he made an area in the back of his yard for a big fire pit, so we all sat around the fire talking, and roasting marshmallows for smores, and then of course the kids lit some roman candles

The next day it was finally 4Th of July so we all just hung out around the house until the party which we were to be there at 4:00pm, Jim made some amazing 7 layer dips, and corn, and black bean avocado dip and brought the rest of the Beef Brisket, so it was really weird for me not to cook the whole time.. not use to that, but it was a nice break have to say. We went to the huge party and everyone brings fireworks, and they have a huge BBQ, and lots of alcohol, and beverages, everyone just eats party's, and lets off fireworks in the street..Big fun my kids love it. It was cold and windy though this year, that was the only problem, but we all managed with coats and blankets.

The next morning we were so ready to come home so Brian and I woke up early had are showers and were out of there by nine, and home by 1:00 so very nice time and now we have this week to still get things ready for a yard sale, and then plan for our Silver wood Trip. They sent Food service of America Food home with us Shrimp, Steaks and halibut and mussels...So I get to cook easy for awhile..nice.

Peace and Love Always,Ursula
